PENANG: A couple was killed in a car collision, near Upper Penang Road, at 3.15 a.m..
     Chuah Tee Beng, 27 and Lim Chee Mei, 24 both were on their way back after having Merdeka celebration with their friends at MOIS.
     The couple's car ran over a beer causing the front car tire to punctured and drifted to the side of the road before colliding with a big truck.
     Allison Cheah, 24, Lim's ex-schoolmate said that the couples were already engaged and were planning out on their wedding which will be held a month later.
     " I can't believe that they were gone and they are getting married next month.
     " Lim was the only child in the family and both her parents are depending on her to support for their living," Cheah added.
     According to the police, the car was totally crashed due to the huge impact of the track.
     Tan Meng Lai, 40, the truck driver is still under critical condition in Penang General Hospital.
